Home / Destinations / Bugsuk Island
Bugsuk Island is where we live. Our base is at Punta Sebaring on the western shore, and it is from here that every Balabac Tours expedition runs.
Our home island
Bugsuk is one of the larger islands in the Balabac group, in the southern tip of Palawan on the Sulu Sea. Our family is based at Punta Sebaring on the island, where we keep our boats and run a beachfront campsite run by a local family.
Why it matters for your trip
- Our expeditions camp on Bugsuk Island at Punta Sebaring
- The crew who look after you live here, they are not seasonal hires
- Boats leave straight from camp, so we reach Onok Island before the day-trippers
- Being based here is why we can handle the whole chain ourselves
Getting here
Guests reach us by boat from Buliluyan Port, itself a roughly six-hour road transfer south of Puerto Princesa that is included in every package. Read how to get to Balabac for the full chain.
