The honest truth about this tour
- This is camping, not glamping. You sleep in a tent on a beach, the toilets are shared and the shower is a bucket and a scoop.
- The food is home-cooked from what the market and the fishermen provide that day - simple, fresh and delicious, but not a hotel buffet.
- There is no cell signal at camp. You will be offline, so embrace it.
- The weather decides the final itinerary. We follow Coast Guard advisories, and if a stop is unsafe we will not go.
- We do not visit mainland Balabac. This is a deliberate safety choice, because there have been crocodile sightings there.
