A joiner tour is a shared scheduled departure. You buy seats per person and travel with other travellers, which spreads the fixed cost of the boat, the fuel, the crew and the camp across everyone on board. It is the most affordable way to reach Balabac.
How much does a joiner seat cost?
Joiner seats are priced per person. Our published rates are PHP 19,800 per person for the 4-day Balabac Expedition and PHP 17,800 per person for the 3-day Essential Balabac, based on a group of four. Groups of 5 to 10 pay PHP 17,500 per person. Joiner seats are pooled into a group, which is how the per-person rate comes down. Message us with your dates for the exact rate.
How a joiner departure works
- You book seats per person on a scheduled departure date
- You share the private boat, the crew and the campsite with other travellers
- The van transfer from Puerto Princesa, all meals, camping equipment and island fees are still included
- Routes and island lists follow our standard itineraries
- A stop at Onok Island applies to joiner departures as well
Who joiner tours suit
Joiners suit solo travellers, couples and small groups who are flexible on dates and happy to share a boat with people they have not met. Because the fixed costs are shared, the per-person price is lower than a private charter.
If your group wants the boat and campsite to itself, choose a private charter instead.
What a joiner rate covers
- Round-trip van transfer from Puerto Princesa to Buliluyan Port
- A seat on our private, roofed boat with a licensed captain and local guide
- All meals for the duration of the trip

- Flights to Puerto Princesa
- Travel insurance - arrange it in your own country, we do not provide it

Can I join alone?
Yes. Solo travellers book a joiner seat and travel with the other guests on that departure.
Will I have my own tent?
Tell us your preference when you book. Tents are allocated according to your group, and a hut upgrade is available.
What if no joiner departure is scheduled for my dates?
Send us your dates anyway. We can often match you with an existing departure, or quote a private charter for your group.
